Starting with the 2015-2016 season, and for the next three years, the new image of this historic Geneva theatre makes writing its focus: text takes up all the space, amplifying functions and even replacing images. The graphics leave many blanks: lines available for the creative intervention of others. Each sign traced in ink is offered as a new idea entitled to be expressed and disseminated.
As Jérôme Baratelli, professor at the Haute école d’art et de design in Geneva, explained when commenting on the campaign: “The letter turns into a grid, an invitation to take pen in hand … Moreover, the visual effect sums up the mission of this theatre dedicated to the creation of contemporary texts.”
